    In the year 1904, District & Sessions Judge, Meerut was the head of Civil and Criminal courts of District Meerut and two Subordinate Judges, two Munsifs and two Additional Munsif were also working. Till 1894, Bulandshahr District was under the jurisdiction of District Judge, Meerut but due to work distribution, three Tehsil of Bulandshahr were annexed to Aligarh judgeship. In 1904, Sikandrabad Tehsil of Bulandshahr was under the jurisdiction of District Judge apart from Muzaffarnagar. In 1904 Muzaffarnagar was made a seperate district judgeship and Tehsil Sikandrabad of District Bulandshahr was brought under jurisdiction of Bulandshahr judgeship.     In 1850's, Meerut Court was functioning in Jali Kothi Area (outskirts of Meerut City) of Meerut City. In Revolt of 1857, Court was set up on fire by revolutionaries. After Revolt of 1857, Court was shifted to Old House Hostel (Now Dr. Bhopal Singh Hostel), Meerut Law College, Meerut.
